Accolent ERP's complete Bill of Materials software also includes Kitting functionality for use in assembly or light manufacturing operations. The BOM functionality lends itself to any kind of staged process where additional light manufacturing and/or product customization may be required including: combining lower level assemblies to a finished product, processing chemical mixtures, tooling, plating, grinding, threading, painting, lacquer, staining, etc. The Bill of Materials software is fully integrated with the Accolent ERP out-of-the-box. For simpler processes, Accolent ERP offers extensive kitting and assembly capabilities that can also handle remanufactured items.
Powerful Bill of Material Software and Kitting Capabilities
BOMs can include nested child BOMs that can be used for sub-assemblies. Accolent ERP allows unlimited levels of child BOMs and an unlimited number of components that can be incorporated into any BOM. The Bill of Materials software creates a batch to remove the components from inventory and records the BOM as Work-in Process (WIP) inventory until the assembly process is completed and inventory of the finished product can be recorded. WIP can be tracked throughout the BOM process and differing valuations for WIP can be assigned through the process. The Bill of Materials software can be used to create finished products in any units of measure. BOM components may be raw material products or sales products.
Automated PO for BOM Components
Includes automatic Purchase Order creation for components which must be purchased in advance. Supports reverse BOM for light manufacturing process to cut standard size items with a need to track, keep inventory of, and sell smaller pieces.
Kit Capabilities
For simpler assemblies with fewer stages and/or components, Accolent ERP also provides extensive kitting and assembly capabilities that can also handle remanufactured items. Accolent ERP allows for Kits to be either finished or unfinished. Unfinished Kits are essentially a group of products that are sold together, whereas Finished Kits involve some kind of manufacturing or assembly process and can incorporate labor Pricing can be assigned by the Kit or as total price of the Kit components plus an optional Kit discount.
